I am an Assistant Professor, General Faculty, in the English Department at the University of Virginia. I have my PhD from the Media Art and Text program at Virginia Commonwealth University. I teach classes on Sci-Fi and Fantasy TV and fan studies. My main areas of research are popular culture and media fandom.
